Unpretentious cosy typically English tea room style cafe. Clean and careful management. Clear allergy advice. Service friendly and prompt. Breakfast and lunch Menus clear and inviting. Tea choices. Specials menu adventurous and enticing. Interior newly refurbished. Just right to meet a friend for coffee or lunch.
Went to the newly revamped Butterflies. Looks great. Such a warm welcome and lovely food.
I ordered an 'Egg Mayo' sandwich. What arrived was a warm, undercooked (and presumably fried) egg smothered in tasteless mayonnaise and packed into a basic French stick, complete with two or three leaves from a supermarket iceberg-based salad bag and some tomato. Nothing was seasoned, there was no dressing, and for the pleasure of nausea I paid around 6.Avoid.
